First Day of Auditions

24 Jun

Jennifer and I auditioned dozens of actors yesterday for the roles of Bethany and Rob and we will continue to do so today.

Overall, it was a great experience for us both and we met some wonderful people.  Actors invest a lot of time and energy in the auditioning process, so I was extremely thankful to all who appeared.

There definitely were some standouts for us in both talent and suitability for the roles.  Though, some actors were excellent, they simply did not posses the essence of our characters, at least in the way we envision them.  When it comes to casting a film, talent is just one factor to look for in an actor.  There are many elements that makes one ideal for a role.

We will continue auditioning today and we will hold callbacks tomorrow, which is the last audition for our finalists.

I will definitely post another update tonight after our audition!

Great. It is interesting that you’re looking for something in particular beyond talent.

Which are the attributes these actors are lacking off?

Maybe, they don’t look like real people? I don’t know.

    Good luck for today.
