21 Oct

Italian filmmaker Michelangelo Antonio (1912-2007) has been an immense inspiration to me, with his film L’avventura (1960) having had the most indelible effect.

Take a look at NY Times film critic A. O. Scott’s video homage to L’avventura.

He’s brilliant. I watched “Red Desert” recently, the man could do no wrong.

So true! Antonioni is the man! My other two favorites is L’Eclipse and Blow-Up…

For sure! I guess he and/or other NY Times staff do it weekly, if not more….
